Righteous
and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith. (Philippians 3:9)
It doesnt matter how you have messed things up in your life or how many mistakes you have made, you need to know starting NOW that you are righteous and you are worthy! Not because of anything you have done but because you have received, by faith in Jesus, the righteousness of God. Why do you need to know that you are righteous? Because these are the benefits the Bible says righteousness will bring when you are in right standing with Him:
| DELIVERANCE |
The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of ALL their troubles (Psalm 34:17). |
| PROVISION |
I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread (Psalm 37:25). |
| ETERNAL INHERITANCE |
The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell in it forever
(Psalm 37:29). |
| LOVING KINDNESS, or CHESED |
The LORD raises those who are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous (Psalm 146:8). |
| PROSPERITY |
The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon (Psalm 92:12). |
| SHALOM or WHOLENESS |
When it goes well[whole, nothing missing or broken] with the righteous, the city rejoices (Proverbs 11:10). |
| DELIVERANCE for CHILDREN |
The seed of the righteous shall be delivered (Proverbs 11:21). |
| ACCESS and PROTECTION |
The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry (Psalm 34:15). |
| BLESSING and FAVOR |
For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield (Psalm 5:12). |
Dont let satan the adversary rob you of any of these blessings by telling you youre not worthy. Tell him to get back in his cave for you are worthy. Every day when you wake up proclaim, twist and shout, I am the righteousness of God! Then step out in faith, remind God of His exceedingly rich promises above and enjoy all the privileges God has prepared for you as His righteous ones! Righteousness has its privileges!!
